Areas of Practice
Commercial Contracts and Advice
Gleeson Law can support your organization’s day-to-day contractual needs, through drafting and reviewing agreements and licenses, including supply agreements, software licenses, service agreements, leases, and affiliation agreements. We can also provide general corporate advice in support of your organization’s activities through review of policies and processes and identification of risk. Our goal is to tailor our review and advice to best meet your organization’s goals, needs and risk tolerance.
Procurement
A significant portion of our practice is related to procurement by broader public sector entities. We have extensive experience providing procurement advice both in the capacity of in-house counsel and external counsel. We are well-versed on the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act and its directives. We provide advice to clients at all stages of the procurement process, including the drafting of RFx documents, the evaluation of vendor responses and the negotiation of purchase agreements. Our goal is to provide procurement advice that allows clients to stay within the bounds of relevant legislation while avoiding unnecessary complexity.
Governance
Gleeson Law can provide support and training to corporate boards on matters such as the duties of directors, preparation for board and member meetings, and good governance procedures. We can carry out by-law reviews and provide assistance in drafting and updating board policies.
Corporate Integrations
Gleeson Law provides advice to organizations undertaking corporate integrations. We can guide your organization through the relevant regulatory requirements of a reorganization, merger or acquisition, and develop and prepare the documentation required to effect such transactions. We can also provide support with identifying and addressing items following the completion of a corporate integration.
Charities
